Dan West has served as president of the Livonia Chamber of Commerce since November 2006. He previously worked as a newspaper reporter for nearly 12 years, most recently with The Livonia Observer. The Livonia Franklin High School graduate earned a bachelor’s degree from Wayne State University.
Dan has years of involvement in various community causes. He is a past president of the Livonia Jaycees, volunteers at the Livonia Spree, sits on the Plymouth Road Development Authority Board and serves as an adult leader for a summer Boy Scout camp on Mackinac Island. He previously served as a youth minister for Catholic churches in St. Ignace and Tecumseh and in service organizations in Southfield and West Bloomfield. He played a key role in starting the Gus Macker 3-on-3 basketball tournament which has taken place at West Bloomfield High School for the past six years. After working at out-state newspapers for several years, Dan moved back to his hometown of Livonia in 2001 with his wife, Amy. They have two daughters, Janie and Natalie. They are parishioners at St. Aidan Catholic Church. |

Sandy Swish, Director of Membership Development, has worked at the Livonia Chamber of Commerce since September 2008. The Ladywood High School Graduate holds a bachelor’s degree in business and marketing from Grand Valley State University. Before joining the Chamber staff, she worked for The Motor Sports Hall of Fame of American in Novi where she did event planning and administrative work. Dawnne Toppa, the director of public affairs, has worked with the Livonia Chamber of Commerce since February 2008. The Livonia Franklin High School graduate also attended classes at Eastern Michigan University and Schoolcraft College. She previously worked as an office manager and broker coordinator for a Novi real estate company. Dawnne is a member of the Livonia Jaycees and the Education Alliance Committee with Livonia Public Schools. Dawnne is a Notary Public. |

Debbie Ferensic, office manager, has worked at the Livonia Chamber of Commerce since 1996. The Livonia Franklin High School graduate earned an associate’s degree from Schoolcraft College.
Debbie is involved with Livonia’s Sacred Heart Byzantine Catholic Church. She has a grown daughter, Kelli. |
